The Prairie Winds Park is a fantastic green space located just to the west of the neighborhood, and residents are also close to the Silverwing Links Golf Course. Flying Away to Your Castle
Grab a picnic basket and head to Prairie Winds Park for an afternoon lying in the grass and spotting planes. Working to improve your golf game? Then the Silverwing Links Golf Course is made for you – just mind the wind, which can make this course challenging for even the strongest golfer. There’s a strip mall just to the south of the neighborhood, and if you don’t find what you need you’re only a short drive to Sunridge Mall. The community association has playschool classes and before and after school programs for the young ones.
Schools in this area include Bishop McNally High School and O.S. Geiger School.
McNight Boulevard takes residents directly to Deerfoot Trail, and the McNight – Westwinds C-train station is within walking distance for most residents. Looking to fly? Then good news – you’re a very short drive to the Calgary International Airport.
The #21 Castleridge and #66 Blackfoot Express bus lines provide service to the community.
Find your way into the right home in Castleridge and you’ll be able to experience good views of both Calgary and the Rocky Mountains. A bit down on your luck or having trouble meeting new people? The very active community association provides social services for residents.
One of the best things to do – summer or winter – is to pack your family up and take them for a walk in Prairie Winds Park. Once there, you can play catch, throw horseshoes, or simply have a picnic.
