Amenities

While the best part of living in Crescent Hills may be the view, there are still several amenities in the neighborhood. McHugh Bluff Park and Crescent Heights Park are both immediately in the area, and Prince’s Island Park is within walking distance. For post-secondary students, the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) is a short drive down 16th Avenue, with the University of Calgary just beyond that. Shops and restaurants line both Centre Street North and 16th Avenue.

Schools serving the area include Hillhurst School and Crescent Heights High School.

 

Transit

If you work downtown, you’re in luck – take Centre Street and you can be at the office in minutes. Proximity to both SAIT and the University of Calgary is also a selling point for families with post-secondary students. As for transit, the Sunnyside C-train station is located to the immediate southwest of the community. The #2 Mt. Pleasant / Killarney 17th Avenue and #3 Sandstone / Elbow Drive bus lines both serve the area.

 

Lifestyle

Fitness junkie? Looking to test yourself? Then on a sunny day, head down to the stairs by Prince’s Island Park for a real challenge. It’s common to see several other runners jogging up and down these stairs for a workout. After, take a walk into downtown Calgary and enjoy delicious food at your choice of restaurant. Come back home in the evening, take the elevator to the top floor of your condo, and crack open a bottle of wine to enjoy with the glittering lights of the city far below.
