Coach Hill is bounded by Old Banff Coach Road to the north and east, Bow Trail to the south, and Coach Hill Road to the west.
Life on the Hill
Find the right apartment, the right home, and Coach Hill’s natural elevation gives you great views of the city. Of course, it’s not all about the view. When you’re down on the ground, feel free to wander to one of the two green spaces in the community, or take a slightly longer walk to Edworthy Park or Sarcee Park. There is a playground, a baseball diamond, an outdoor rink, and a soccer field. The community offers classes in yoga, line dancing, Celtic dancing, and both Girl Guides and Brownies programs. Schools servicing the area include Olympic Heights Elementary School and John Costello School.
If you work in Calgary’s downtown core, you’ll love living close to Bow Trail, which provides quick, direct access. Sarcee Trail is also close, should you want to head to the shopping in Bowness. For post-secondary students, Ambrose University College is a short drive away. Finally, if you’re looking for transit, it’s a short drive to both Sirocco C-train station and 69th Street C-train station. The #93 Coach Hill / Westbrook and the #94 Strathcona / Westbrook bus lines both serve the community.
Wake up early and beat the traffic on your quick commute into Calgary’s downtown core for another day at the office. After you’re finished, return home and bike over to Edworthy Park. Find yourself a bench, snack on a sandwich, and watch ducks swim down the river. Coach Hill is perfect for both families looking for a neighborhood with green space, and the office bee who just wants somewhere quiet to relax.
Here’s a fun fact – Old Banff Coach Road got its name from the stagecoaches that used to take that route in order to travel to Banff.
