There’s an outdoor skating rink available for community use, and both Bridgeland Park and Renfrew Athletic Park have ample green space, with the latter housing a full-sized football field. The Renfrew Aquatic & Recreation Centre has a swimming pool and an indoor skating rink. If you like to golf, you’ll find Fox Hollow Golf Course just to the north of the community.

 

As for shopping, try hitting up the restaurants and stores on 16th Avenue NE. You can also find a selection of pubs and restaurants scattered amongst the businesses along Edmonton Trail.

 

Schools serving the community include Colonel Macleod Elementary & Junior High, Renfrew Elementary School, St. Alphonsus Elementary & Junior High, and Stanley Jones Elementary School.

 

Transit

Transit users rejoice – depending on where you live in Renfrew, the Bridgeland – Memorial C-train Station is well within walking distance. If you’d prefer to take the bus, you’ll find the #4 Huntington and #17 Renfrew – Ramsay bus lines are popular. The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) is also only a short drive down 16th Avenue NE. Speaking of, commuters should expect to find themselves on Deerfoot Trail, 16th Avenue NE, or Edmonton Trail most of the time.

 

Lifestyle

Take a stroll down the Nose Creek Pathway, or head to Renfrew Athletic Park or Bridgeland Park to kick a soccer ball or throw a football. In the winter, lace up your skates and take advantage of the outdoor hockey rink, or enjoy a taste of summer splashing around in the Renfrew Aquatic & Recreation Centre.

 

And if you work in the downtown core? You’ll be ecstatic to have a quick commute. While others are trapped in rush hour traffic, you’ll already be home relaxing.
