If you want to feel like you’re on vacation, you need to check out the lake in Mahogany. It has 20 acres of private beach front, the chance to rent boats and paddle boards, a separate swimming area, and beach volleyball courts. In fact, when you combine the park and natural area in Mahogany, you get a space that is almost the size of downtown Calgary.

 

When you’re wandering around the community, don’t expect to see many stores – you’re likely going to need to drive to nearby Mackenzie Towne to get your shopping done.

 

Schools serving the area include St. Isabella School and Mountain Park School.

 

Transit

While you’re close to the South Health Campus, you’re a bit further from everything else. You’ll want to hop on either Deerfoot Trail or Stoney Trail on your morning commute. As far as transit, there’s not a C-train station in sight – at the moment. One is currently planned to be along 52nd Street SE. The #302 BRT SE and the #468 Cranston / Mahogany bus lines serve the community.

 

Lifestyle

Living in Mahogany means you’re always on vacation. Think about it – lazy Saturday afternoons spent splashing around the beach and building sand castles with the kids, Sunday mornings spent sipping coffee on your deck, and evenings spent barbecuing delicious food.
