Kincora, Calgary Houses, Townhouses and Duplexes For Sale
Kincora, North Calgary Real Estate Listings and Community Info
Kincora is a north (formerly northwest) Calgary community that features single family homes, townhouses, and side-by-side duplexes for sale, with the vast majority of properties being single family houses. While there are a tiny amount of bungalows available, you’ll find mostly 2-storey housing in this neighborhood. This Celtic-themed community has a huge green space and environmental preserve located at the heart of the neighborhood, giving it a rustic feel. Kincora is bounded by 128th Avenue NW to the north, Symons Valley Road to the east, Stoney Trail to the south, and Shaganappi Trail to the west.
The Celtic Heart of the City
The highlight of Kincora – besides the Celtic theme – has to be the 120 acre environmental preserve located towards the heart of the community. With rolling hills and walkways throughout, it’s the perfect place to go for your morning run, or to wander through on a weekend. There is also a landscaped storm water pond and gazebo. As for shopping, you’re going to want to try your luck on Symons Valley Road or head to the Walmart to the north of the community.
While there are no schools in the community, both Hidden Valley School and The Hamptons School serve the neighborhood.
As you’d expect of a community this far north, you’re likely going to be stuck driving. But don’t worry – both Shaganappi Trail and Stoney Trail are close by. As for transit, you can hop on the #420 Evanston or the #425 Sage Hill / Kincora bus lines.
If you’ve ever dreamed of living in Ireland, Kincora is the closest you can get in Calgary. A Celtic theme runs throughout the community, touching everything from the Kincora Tower and the stone entry wall to the lantern street lights. This family-friendly community has plans to develop a baseball diamond, but until then, you and your family will have to take advantage of the 120 acre green space and all that it entails.
