For shopping, there’s a strip mall on the eastern side of the community – through many residents prefer to visit Brentwood Village when they need to get their major shopping done.

Transit

Post-secondary students can hop in their car and drive down 14th Street NW to head to SAIT, or head a few blocks west to make their way to the University of Calgary. If you’re interested in traversing the city, John Laurie Boulevard turns into McKnight, which connects directly to Deerfoot Trail – though you should be warned that traffic can get ugly on McKnight. University C-train station is a short bus ride away, and the #4 Huntington and #5 North Haven bus lines both run through the neighborhood.

 

Lifestyle

Come the weekend, gather the family and head up to Nose Hill to try and find the most stunning view of downtown Calgary. Or grab some hot chocolate and hike up the hill on a crystal clear winter night – and you might just be able to see the Northern Lights. When spring rolls back around, polish off your irons and go golfing at the Confederation Park Golf Course. And once fall returns? Challenge yourself to take the long way to school – and walk through the falling leaves on your way to the University of Calgary.
